A significant aspect of my practice is the provision of supervision to experienced and trainee counsellors.
Here in supervision I work to an integrative model which is based on my professional training in supervision. This approach interacts well with my work as a counsellor in which I also work integratively, applying psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT principles.
In my practice as a counsellor it is my experience that supervision works most effectively when in a collaborative arrangement. Consequently I work in conjunction with counsellors and provide supervision in the following key areas:
Reflection on client presenting issues
Support counsellors in their professional development
Resolve together ethical and professional dilemmas
I set up my own therapeutic and coaching practice some twenty years ago and feel that I can offer substantial support to practitioners working in the field of private practice. I have also worked in agency environments and this experience helps me support counsellors in client work together with the management of dilemmas that can occur in this area.
My supervision fee for fully qualified counsellors is £40 for a one hour session. I offer reduced rates for trainee counsellors.
